Yes, Zigbee devices are compatible with the Smart Life App. A Zigbee gateway is required to integrate them into the app. Through this gateway, various Zigbee sensors and devices, such as lights, switches, or sensors, can be connected and controlled. This enables seamless integration and automation of your smart home.
Smart Life App works with Matter-certified devices. Matter is a unified smart home standard created by Amazon, Apple, Google, and SmartThings. It aims to seamlessly connect various smart home ecosystems, allowing devices from different brands to work together effortlessly. This makes managing and using your smart home devices simpler and more convenient.Â
Yes, the Smart Life App is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Simply open the Alexa or Google Assistant app and connect it to your Smart Life account. You can then control your devices with voice commands.
Yes you can. Some devices may require a hub such as Sensors with Zigbee protocol but in general Smart Life App doesn’t require a hub.
Yes! The Smart Life App fully supports widgets on both iOS and Android, allowing you to control your favorite devices or trigger „Scenes“ directly from your home screen without even opening the app.
On iPhone (iOS): You can add „Tap-to-Run“ widgets to your Today View or Home Screen. This is perfect for a „Leave Home“ scene that turns off all lights with one tap. It also supports Apple Watch integration for wrist-based control.
On Android: You can place individual device shortcuts or 4×2 scene widgets on your home screen.
Pro-Tip: To set this up, first create a „Tap-to-Run“ automation in the app under the Scene tab. Once created, it will be available to select when you add the Smart Life widget to your phone’s screen.
Officially, Smart Life is designed as a mobile-first experience for iOS and Android. However, as of 2026, there are three ways to control your devices from a computer:
Web Dashboard: You can use the Smart Life Web Terminal (accessible via home.smart321.com) to view camera feeds and control basic device states directly in your browser.
Windows/Mac via Matter: Since many new Smart Life devices are now Matter-compatible, you can control them using the native „Home“ apps on Windows 11 or macOS without needing a separate Smart Life desktop app.
Android Emulators: If you need the full app experience on a PC, you can use an emulator like BlueStacks to run the mobile version of Smart Life on your desktop.
Specialized Software: For advanced users, integrating Smart Life with Home Assistant allows for a professional, full-screen dashboard on any PC or tablet.
Power Check: Ensure the physical switch for the device (like a wall switch for a smart bulb) is turned ON. Smart devices need constant power to stay connected to your Wi-Fi.
The „2-Minute Rule“: If you just had a power outage or restarted your router, wait at least 2 minutes. Smart devices often take longer than phones or laptops to re-handshake with the cloud servers.
Router Distance: If the device is far from your router, the signal might be too weak. Try moving the device closer or consider a Wi-Fi Extender if the „Offline“ status happens frequently.
Check Your Band: Most Smart Life devices only work on the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band. If your router has „Smart Steering“ (combining 2.4GHz and 5GHz), the device might get kicked offline.
Soft Reset (Power Cycle): Turn the device off at the plug or circuit breaker for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
The Final Fix (Re-pairing): If none of the above work, remove the device from the Smart Life app, reset it (usually by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds until it blinks), and add it again.
You can share your Smart Life devices with others by inviting them in the app. To do so check our article and video here.
